Cabbage and tomato soup
Delicious and nutritious, this recipe is quickly made and easy to do. A bit of spices are added to compliment the flavour of the cabbages.
- 2 teaspoon of olive oil
- 2 teaspoon of butter
- 2 onions, minced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- ½ teaspoon of corriander (optional)
- ½ teaspoon of fennel seeds (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon of cumin (optional)
- 5 cups of cubed cabbages
- 2 cups of fresh tomatoes
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- Sel et poivre au goût
Melt butter with the oil in a pot. Add onions and garlic with the spices. Cook 5 minutes. Add cabbage, tomatoes, and broth. Bring to a boil over medium heat and simmer 25 minutes.
